«Das Ende zweier Leben» (The End of Two Lives)

An armchair, photos, dolls and many, many books fill my grandparents' apartment. Forty-five years of history, their past and experiences, a mirror to their personalities. Now they are gone - one passed away, the other in a nursing home - and their possessions must be cleared from the apartment. Everything must go, life removed in refuse bags. In the end only emptiness, a space for something new.
